Smiths Interconnect offers several types of coupler realised in coaxial or waveguide forms. Waveguide types include directional and hybrid types operating in assigned band from ~5 to ~42GHz. The hybrids can be arranged to be equal split (3dB) or unequal split (for example 1.77/4.33dB). These can be offered in 4 port or 3 port types (one of the input or output ports can be terminated) or as 4 port types. Coaxial types are either directional, based on hybrid or a Wilkinson approach and operate in assigned bands from 400MHz to 12 GHz. Products are designed, analysed, and optimized for specific applications to operate under worst-case combination of agreed operating conditions found in the intended application.
